What to look for when choosing a custom license plate or logo?

Before making a plate or a logo, have you ever wondered what are the characteristics to consider for an optimal choice?

Surely you don't need to consider only one factor exclusively! For example, a low cost could be a double-edged sword! A very advantageous price could be quite tempting right away, however, it will often lead to an expense in the short term due to poor quality of the material or printing…

With this article we want to help you in choosing a good product and, therefore, in identifying the fundamental characteristics to consider:

1) PRINT QUALITY

It is an essential parameter in the choice. The duration of your plate will depend on the print, a poor quality print could fade and last a short time generating an important problem, a new expense for a new personalized plate/logo.
Be very careful, prefer UV Led Direct Printing.

2) MATERIAL

Another fundamental aspect is the material. First point, is it an outdoor or indoor plate? Do we want a sleeker or more direct design? Do you know what the difference is, in terms of resistance, between plexiglass, mdf, aluminum or other? And in terms of cost?

It is clear that the mdf material (wood) will not be suitable for outdoor use (weathering), just as the plexiglass will be able to provide a more elegant design. Just as plexiglass will cost more than mdf.
A wrong choice could lead to future costs, you may have to redo the number plate in the short term!

3) THICKNESS

A bit underrated. The resistance, the effect (3d) and the design of the license plate depend on it.
Obviously, in certain environments and for larger plates/logos, it is necessary to choose a greater thickness to have a more resistant product.
Just as, especially for shaped plates or logos with writings/letters with a greater thickness, a better 3D effect and a more captivating design can be obtained.
Again, a wrong choice could lead to future costs, you may have to redo the number plate in the short term!

4) CUT

Another underrated aspect. A quality cut will give a much more elegant design to your plaque/logo. A "Spartan" effect is not a good business card for your company! Laser cutting is very good.

5) QUALITY/PRICE RATIO

It is definitely worth considering! For the previous reasons, however, don't base your choice on this alone!
